Hey GRL!
Let’s talk about jeans!
Now I’ve worn quite a few pairs of jeans in my life, and I’ve always struggled with finding jeans that fit well all around. In the past I’ve sacrificed cute jeans for flares–ew– and jeans that fit well in the waistband for jeans that come all the way up and don’t leave that awkward long crotch gap look.
To think y’all really let me go outside like that when I was younger. All of my friends were obviously fake.
But, i’ve learned quite a bit on my journey for the best plus size jeans for my body and that made me feel comfortable and stylish. So lets get into it.
First, don’t buy jeans online that you haven’t tried on in store or have a pair from the same brand. I made this mistake quite a bit when I first started investing in my jeans. And I wasted quite a lot of money by not trying on jeans that I bought– in store and online.
Different jean cuts fit completely different on your body. And some plus size jeans can run you a smooth $50-$70 for quality jeans. But i’m a bargain shopper so I get the deals.
Disclaimer: I will never accept clothing or other merchandise for review and give a false representation of the items to drive sales. I purchased the following with my own coins, and regardless I will never lie to you about my feelings towards a brand or company.
AMERICAN EAGLE:
I’ve recently gotten into American Eagle Jeans even though they’ve been on the market for a while now in plus size.
When I tell y’all that they actually did something with these jeans, I really mean that. I’ve purchased 4 pairs of these jeans and they are honestly one of the best fitting that I’ve had n a while.
I used to go to stores like Charlotte Russe to get plus size jeans– y’all know I love old CR– but after a while the quality just wasn’t enough for me anymore, so I started looking for alternatives and I found a couple at stores like Ross and Burlington Coat Factory, but they didn’t last long either.
Y’all know that us thicccc girls have issues with the inner thigh of our jeans and also finding good stretch and fupa space in the jeans.
And I was a self proclaimed ” I will never size up cause they’re supposed to fit tight” jeans gal. I’ve now seen the light thanks to a couple Tik Toker’s who have shown me that I don’t need to be in these streets feeling uncomfortable or barely able to move because my jeans are literally that tight.
It’s okay that they say 22 and not 18 or 20. The tag means nothing. The fit means EVERYTHING.
I actually sized up 2 sizes in the jeans pictured, which are the AE Curvy Mom Jean. The only downside to that was that they have so much room around my stomach area when I pull them up to a high waist and I don’t have enough Fupa to fill the 24 so it looks really weird and scrunched up in my opinion.
But overall, I’d give these a 9/10 because I like the fit on the thighs and the style.
As for the skinny jeans from AE, I got them in a 22, and thought they’d be ankle length. On 5’6 me?? I laugh at myself.
So, if you’re shorter than myself, I would recommend buying from their site because they have more options for length like petite, regular, and tall so you can have a decent fitted jean overall.
Mine were regular so they aren’t horrible, but they do scrunch up quite a bit more than I’m used to at the ankle.
If y’all have any other jean brands y’all want me to review, or any suggestions, STOP GATEKEEPING lmao, and tell me where y’all got the jeans cause we all want to be hot girls during this fall and winter season. Thx in advance. xx.
Do You Boo.
