Hey GRL!
You ever had that moment where you got invited out last minute or you need an outfit that will take you from the AM to the PM but not do too much? Yeah me too. And for some reason, this always happens after a night out partying or right before a big event. Myself and my sisters or my friends will decide hey lets go to brunch before we go to a party later or let’s do brunch and a kiki after a night out partying. The problem comes in when I haven’t a clue what to wear, and no time to sit and decide.
I think I am getting better at casual outfits– after my sneaker head mom suggested the problem being that I don’t have a bunch of gym shoes (since remedied). I focused for a while on building my streetwear and casual wardrobe, and this is the culmination of figuring out how to still slay effortlessly without being fully done up.
I grabbed a few bodysuits in this pursuit because the easiest thing to throw on when you don’t know what to wear is something that is all one piece. Rompers, jumpsuits, bodysuits are your best friend. Sets too, but bodysuits are the best because you can layer other pieces over them to either dress it up or dress it down. Plus they’re super comfy, and like a full body legging. Since my bodysuit was black and I knew I could find a outerwear piece that would go ahead and layer perfectly. I grabbed this cardigan from H&M– y’all know i’m a H&M stan– it runs very oversized, but that’s what I wanted in the piece and its hard to ind perfectly oversized stuff in plus sizes, but H&M does get that right.
I paired this with a pair of panda Dunks, and high calf socks bunched up. I normally like to wear a pop of color with my monochrome or neutral outfits, but I like to tie metallics in as well and because I was doing mostly silver jewelry, I decided to use my silver purse and bring all of that together. For a casual slay, id say this was cute outfit. When styling I try to keep it simple, but bring something a little special or different to each outfit.
Do you, be you. x.
